Spare a thought for Lucky, the world's oldest sheep. The ewe lived an amazing 23 years, six months, and 28 days, enjoying life just outside Ballarat, Victoria in Australia and had already been in the Guinness Record books for two years. But in the recent heatwaves, it all got too much. And all this from a sheep that was abandoned by its mother as a lamb. That led to hand-rearing, which led to pet status. And then it was smooth sailing from there.
Reports do not indicate how tasty the 23 year old leg of mutton turned out.
