What's Italian for: "Yes guv, I've erm... pranged the Lambo..."?These are the words we hope were uttered by one Italian copper after he crashed their most valuable patrol car, a Rs.95 lakh Lamborghini. The accident happened near the northern Italian town of Cremona where it was on display at a student jobs fair.
Reports say the car swerved to avoid another vehicle which crossed into its path, ploughing into two stationary cars. It was a write off.
Amusing as it is, spare a thought for the cops inside the car, one of whom suffered a broken rib, the other receiving bruises.
The Lamborghini car, painted in the Italian police force's blue and white colours, was a gift to the force from the carmakers in 2004. The monstrous 500-horsepower engine is designed to go from zero to 100km/h (60mph) in four seconds. Not now, obviously. Check out the stunning car, pre-"bump" after the jump...

Photographed this car on display on the police stand at the Bologna Motor Show 2008. It looked fabulous, but I can still think of quite a few motorcycles that could outrun it.
